The Bellidrum

The Bellidrum is made of clay, glazed on the inside as well as the outside.   Many different glazes are available so each drum can become very personalized.  The Bellidrum measures about 12" by 12" and comes with a padded gig bag with shoulder strap, thumb rings and padded neck strap to hold the drum while the performer is dancing or playing other instruments.

Available in one or two head models, like the American Percussion Lapdrum, the Bellidrum can get a glissando effect as well as a fixed pitch sound.  And like the Lapdrum, there's a small hole in the bottom of the drum to insert a lavalier microphone to help amplify the sound of the drum.   The Audiotechnica microphone can be purchased through American Percussion Instruments as well.
