Cajon Snare Drums

Cajon Snare Drums

A cajon snare is made like a m.u.d. drum where there is a wood batter head and a conventional head on the bottom.

Put my NEWLY acquired American Percussion Instruments by Ken Lovelett to work today. It is a 6" x 13" Cajon Snare with a conventional Resonating head, hoop and throw combined with a wooden batter head with a custom raised edge for cross sticking or rim shots and a guiro (scrapper) edge along 3/4 of the diameter.
Ken it is absolutely perfect. The elevated edge for cross sticking works brilliantly. Ken Lovelett I frikken LOVE LOVE LOVE your Cajon Snare!!!! Ken and I worked together yesterday and he brought the cajon Snare to our gig, he laid out the perfect position for the elevated edge before our performance. Glued and clamped it. By the end of our gig it was ready to Rock n' Roll!!!
