Slit Marimba Tom-Tom                                                                           This world percussion instrument called the  slit marimba tom tom is a smaller version on the slit marimba snare only without the snare. In the video you get the snare sound by laying the tom tom on head of the snare drum. This not only helps to get the snare sound but when you turn the snare off the tom tom sound comes through a lot louder. This drum is demonstrated by putting it on a cymbal stand, which increases its' ability to create more sounds and the last demonstration is playing the drum while held between the knees.  This can be a custom order so different sizes can be made!  The magnets are a special order since they are for a faster tuning adjustment. The types of woods may vary  also !
